Loved this book so much! Of course by now it is impossible to deny Serenity has a gift. I am however blown every single time I read one of her books and find an unfailingly well written piece that tugs at the heart and makes you feel like you're a valuable part of the family. That takes skill and a natural raw talent of which she posses both. This book is the story of Bianca and Freddie finally finding love through pain and trauma and a whole lot of patience on Bianca's part. Things are often not what they seem but worth the trial. Of course the skillful Serenity hints at one of the future stories, as another family member starts laying ground for their own story. Definitely worth the read! Purchase the whole series in fact, you won't regret it! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC and the opinions are my own.
I could not put this book down. I loved the story. It was a sweet story of childhood friends that reconnect as adults and become lovers. But this isn't just a sweet story, it has some heat to it. I won't give spoilers, but I actually enjoy when an author touches on a subject that isn't usually discussed because these things do happen. In my opinion it was well written and explains so much about the character. A great story, and I loved a hint at what will be a future story. *I voluntarily read and reviewed an arc of this book.
Bride for a Night is a sweet, poignant, and gentle seduction of the reader as Bianca and Freddie begin to reestablish their old childhood relationship. Bianca always crushed on Freddie, but he always was aloof. Now an injured war vet, Freddie is struggling with painful memories from his childhood and his Middle East service as well as a painful back injury. Embraced by Bianca’s mom, Noelle, and put to work in the bridal shop, will Freddie be able to continue to keep Bianca in the friend zone? Serenity explores a different aspect of parental abuse as she fleshes out Freddie’s character. Series readers will appreciate the other character updates and the slow buildup to...my bad! No spoilers! I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.
I loved this book and the characters! Serenity always writes a good book and she adds layers plus layers as she describes the person in every chapter and you get to know them very well!i am sure you will remember the sweet innocent Bianca and the wounded soldier Freddie. Serenity lives in the far north of New Zealand and most of her works is about that area. The people love a good time so, they are always giving party’s. It’s beautiful there, quite a few small towns & I am sure you will want to move there. This book is more then just the couple. All of Bianca’s Family is part of it watch for the twists & turns!
